Comments: Report from poster on StormCarib.com as of 7:42pm EDT: Report from Georgetown, Exuma, that they experienced very strong winds from Hurricane Sandy but apparently not as much damage as the last hurricane. News from Nassau of estimated 20-30mph winds and light rain at this time. Hope Town, Abaco, reporting winds estimated at 50-60mph with heavy rain as Sandy approaches the island. No electrical activity detected thus far. Right now a feeder band is passing over Grand Bahama, heavy rain and strong wind gusts Capt. John Roberts
