Comments: The team at Blue Hill International spoke with Bill Gimson Chief Operating Officer of the @St. St. Boniface Haiti Foundation, who is on the ground at St. Boniface Hospital, gave an update of how the people and the facility are faring during #hurricanematthew via satellite phone. -Roofs have sustained moderate damage because of downed trees -Clean water for drinking and food are a large concern -Water levels at a nearby spring are rising over 15 feet -Very little situational awareness due to a loss of internet, and cell service -Over 200 downed trees and limbs Plans are rapidly being put in place to begin getting roads cleared and food and water brought into the area.
