Comments: Historical Report from Marrero Louisiana. Myron is located at the water plant in Marrero. Highest Sustained Wind Speed: 71 MPH Peak wind gust of 101 MPH recorded at three different times, 835 AM, 1037 AM and 1201 PM CDT. Rainfall Total for event of 2.86" as noted below. Barometric pressure reading not available as that instrument is broken. Damage in the area includes a car port blown down from the wind, a few large oak tree branches down and shingle damage to structures. No other damage noted and station notes damage less than Katrina. Notes that the Harbor Canal did not reach its flood stage. N5YCW reported from Algiers, Louisiana that his highest winds estiamted were 60-70 MPH winds and the river in his area never made it to bankful. Minimal damage noted.
